Maha Shivaratri 2026: Official Parking & Traffic Guide

Namaste Devotees, To ensure a smooth and safe Darshan experience during the Maha Shivaratri celebrations, we have established specific parking and traffic flow guidelines. Please review the instructions below before arriving at the temple. Parking Locations (4:00 PM – 10:00 PM) We strongly encourage carpooling to reduce congestion. Main Parking (Limited): Available at the Temple Main Gate. Overflow Parking (Shuttle Available): Location: Stonybrook Intermediate and Middle School Address: 11300 Stony Brook Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46229 Shuttle Service: A free shuttle will run continuously between the school and the temple from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Mandatory Traffic Flow Rules To prevent traffic jams on German Church Road, please follow these rules strictly after 4:00 PM: North Entry Only: Vehicles must enter the temple from the North side only. Approaching from the South? Do not attempt to turn left into the temple. Please proceed directly to the Stonybrook School for overflow parking. Exiting the Temple: All vehicles exiting the Main Gate must turn Right. Building Entry Instructions Entry points to the temple building will change based on the time of day: Before 4:00 PM: Use the Main Front Entrance. 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM: General entry will be redirected to the Back Entrance (Basement). Special Needs Access: The Main Front Door is reserved exclusively for Seniors, Strollers, and Special Needs visitors during peak hours (4 PM - 10 PM). We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
