As we prepare for the Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam, planned for summer 2027, we need to complete the necessary repairs to the shrine gopurams, rajagopuram, and garbhagrihas. This sacred ceremony will mark the re-energizing of our temple following the completion of the repair work.

The Shilpis (temple artisans) are scheduled to arrive on October 22, 2026. Before they begin their work, the required preparatory poojas must be performed. Given the upcoming weather constraints, we are planning to complete the first pooja promptly.

Invitation: Pradhana Vimana & Rajagopuram Balalayam and Sasthra Pooja

Sunday, October 25, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

We warmly invite all devotees to join us for this important milestone in our Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam preparations.

During the Balalayam, the priests will perform Kalaakarshanam, ceremonially transferring the sacred energy from the gopurams into the Chitra Patam (sacred image) to be placed in the shrine. The energy will be transferred back after special poojas performed as part of Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam in Summer 2027.

The Sasthra Pooja will honor the tools and instruments the Shilpis will use, accompanied by prayers for the renovation work to proceed smoothly and auspiciously.

Planned steps toward Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam (JK)

1. October 22, 2026: Arrival of the Shilpis.
2. October 25, 2026: Pradhana Vimana (Shiva, Balaji and Durga), Rajagopuram Balalayam and Sasthra Pooja.
3. Inspection and initial assessment: The Sthapathi and Shilpis will inspect the gopurams and assess the work required.
4. Finalize the timeline: Determine the repair schedule based on the inspection and estimate.
5. Begin preparatory work: Start the necessary repairs and schedule any additional Balalayam poojas.
6. Complete the repairs: Finish the required work on the gopurams and garbhagrihas.
7. Summer 2027: Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam, with the dates to be confirmed.

Kumbhabhishekam dates and temple operations

The final dates for Jeernodharana Kumbhabhishekam can be determined only after the Sthapathi inspects the exterior gopuram work and assesses the scope of repairs. We expect to provide an update by late November or early December.

Please be assured that all Nithya Poojas will continue as usual, without interruption to devotees. We will keep everyone informed of the progress and any changes to the schedule.
